In this portrait, I have updated the baby’s hairline, touched-up the eyes, and deepened the blues in the baby blanket. I also warmed up the skin a touch with a little rose. These babies are very charming.
In this image, I intensified the coloring on the boy’s skin. I added a shade of a darker color in their hair. On the rim of the painting, I decided to add a shade of brown umber to warm the painting’s overall appearance. It is a lovely painting.
The coloring in this painting is very soft and subtle. I am working to bring in beautiful hues of color that reflect on their skin, not just the usual skin color, but crimsons, yellow ochers, and subtle blues. The babies are rendered in this painting at only three months old. They are very beautiful. I am working to capture their delightful and watchful expressions. I’m in the studio now so more to come…
