Sophie, Pet Portrait, Pittsburgh, Zapata Studios

Finally, the finished pet portrait of Sophie. Now this painting is on its way to Harrisburg to suprize its new owner. I am anxious to hear the reactions! Interested in seeing how this painting developed…

This pet portrait is of Sophie, a Beagle living in Harrisburg. Sophie is being commissioned by a group of co-workers sad to see their friend leave the office. Apparently, Sophie is a true love of his; so a pet portrait makes a perfect farewell gift. I have been working to capture the intellegence, loyalty, and glow of Sophie. Animals bring so much into our lives.

    I am Sophie’s owner along with my wife. What a super retirement gift……the portrait is beautiful !! We love it !! I have thanked the persons responsible for giving this to
    me and now I would like to thank you, Alison, for creating this work of art. An instant family heirloom. Your talent is obvious and greatly appreciated.

    That is an absolutely beautiful portrait of Sophie (who was obtained from a rescue group by Bob and Peg!)

    Now, Alison, can you do one makin’ Bob look that purty?
