Pet Portrait, Pittsburgh, Zapata Studios, Peanut

This charming little fellow is Peanut. He is finally complete and spunky as ever. His coat got some added shadows, yellow ochre highlights for warmth, and his trademark collar. I tried something new by adding a deorative background. Its beautiful; however, not too feminine for this boy. I cannot wait for his owner, Kelly, to pick up this portrait and display it. It has a very beautiful feel. I am sure it will certainly brighten her home. See pictures of the work in progress.

Peanut is coming along beautifully. I just added the first layer for the background. The details in his fur will give him a more depth and texture. See the works very beginning phase…

This pet portrait is cutie Peanut, a commission from Pittsburgh.

Here he is as I am just getting started with his portrait.

As the owner of Peanut, I have to say how well Alison captured his signature look! His color is right on and the ears and mug are perfect. I am happy to have this portrait that will always remind me of my sweet dog, long after he is gone.
