Handsome Jake 2, the second commissioned pet portrait. Jake’s owner loved the first portrait and was generous enough to donate the work of art to a fundraiser for an animal shelter in Pittsburgh. This pet portrait he decided to keep for himself.

This is an update to Rickie. She is developing well. The colors I am using for her are deep and contrasting for highlight the curly fur on her face and ears. She needs to sit for a day, and I’ll come back to her one final time to make any detailed changes in the reflection of light on her fur. Other than that, she will be ready to go home. Finally after days of working this custom portrait, Hudson is finally the beauty I had envisioned when I first began. His dark eyes really sparkle against his warm skin.
